We left today from John O'Groats - actually it was from the further point of Duncansby Head. We covered the 20 odd miles to Wick without bother. Patch wore her boots most of the way which did a great job of preventing some initial soreness from develping.

All the best..!!
Well done Sophie. It's a massive walk, so think of it as tomorrow's walk, with just a lot of tomorrows!
Tight Laces,
Alan
Will be following your tale with interest, imagining you following Patch's tail. Weather looks good. Godspeed.
Hi Sophie
Gayle and I will follow your blog with interest. We will also endeavour to meet up and walk with you for a while - at least 1 night. Enjoy the walk - as Mr Sloman says, it's only a one day walk followed by another, then another ...
It'll all be over far too soon, so enjoy every minute - even the hard days.
Mick
Heya
I'm just another person who hopes to do a LEJOG walk one day, so I follow the blogs every year. I wish you the best of luck, and hope you have a wonderful time!
Alan and MickB's advice to think of it as just a day walk, followed by another day walk, is spot-on.
By the time you've finished, I bet Mick's phrase "It'll all be over far too soon" will ring really true - you'll be set to walk all the way back to JoG!
Fantastic that you've already met up with another end-to-ender. Must be quite a community out there, scattered the length and breadth of the country.
Have fun, and hope to see you when you reach Yorkshire.
Hi all, many thanks for your comments - they do mean a lot. I had a rather uncomfortable day not long ago and I remembered some of the previous comments written and it helped me smile!
