In June 2009 my trusty hound, Patch, and I are backpacking from John O'Groats to Lands End. We will walk over 1200 miles in about 3 months without support - I will be carrying my own tent and supplies and will be unaccompanied. Please support us by visiting www.justgiving.com/longestdogwalkinbritain to donate - every little helps!!

Fingers crossed you can get it sorted. Piglet and I think about you and wonder how you're getting on most days.
Well, that came through all okay Sophie.
Good luck with it,
Alan
Hi Sophie,
If it's just electronics that's a bother, that means you've got the walk sorted! And that's what's important. You can always post later.

Well said Daryl. It's the walk that's the important thing - though it would be great to know how it's going. Good luck in battling the gremlins...

So glad to see that it's just the equipment playing up and not your blisters or Patch's paws. Hope this good weather is helping you two along. My friends at Collarways were also worried about you.

Hi Sophie - Glad to see you got the blogging working again. Great to meet you, and very best wishes for the weeks ahead - it's an amazing effort and i'm hugely jealous. Rob and i got home yesterday having stormed up the Ben on Saturday amidst thousands of others - made our more remote descent out to the CIC hut and what a blessing that was. It was great to meet you and patch (glad she survived being left with Rob!). All the best, Richard
Many thanks for the comments - much appreciated.
Richard - so glad you found the blog! It was great meeting you two, & I thoroughly enjoyed walking sections of the (not so) Great Glen Way with you both. The miles pass much more quickly when your having a good chat.
